Final 10 in American Idol Betting at SBG Global

American Idol betting is down to the final 10 for the 2009 season and even though there are ten contestants remaining, it looks to be a two person race.  Danny Gokey and Adam Lambert have distanced themselves from the rest of the field and they are now the favorites in American Idol odds.

American Idol betting saw a bit of a surprise as Alexis Grace was eliminated before reaching the Top 10.  Some believed that Grace had a real chance to win in American Idol betting unlike some others who are still in the contest.  Michael Sarver has no real chance of winning in American Idol betting yet he is still in the Top 10.  The same can be said about a few others as well.

Heading into the Final 10, the American Idol odds list Danny Gokey and Adam Lambert as the two favorites at 2-1 each.  Lil Rounds is next in American Idol betting at 5-1.  The only other singer that is getting any attention on the American Idol odds board is Allison Iraheta at 9-1.  The other six are definite longshots. Matt Giraud is 10-1 in American Idol betting but it seems unlikely another male can crack the top two.  Anoop Desai is 15-1; Kris Allen is 20-1 while Scott MacIntyre is 25-1.  Megan Corkrey is listed at 25-1 in American Idol betting while Michael Sarver has no real chance at American Idol betting odds of 65-1.

Since Gokey and Lambert have emerged as the two heavy favorites the American Idol betting odds on whether a male or female will win are now tilted heavily toward a male. The American Idol betting odds list a male winning at -350 while a female winner would pay +225.

While Gokey and Lambert are the two favorites in American Idol betting, they are not unbeatable.  Lambert has appeared way too cocky and that he is above everyone else while Gokey’s story has gotten too much air time.  Perhaps the public will rebel and choose someone like Allison Iraheta who has a definite appeal.  Remember that it is ultimately the public that determines the winner in American Idol odds.
