Breeders Cup betting in 2009 begins with five races on Friday, November 6th. ESPN 2 will be televising all of the races on Friday. The races on Friday are the Juvenile Fillies Turf, the Breeders Cup Filly & Mare Sprint, the Juvenile Fillies, the Filly & Mare Turf and the Ladies Classic.
Saturday is the big day of Breeders Cup betting. The races on Saturday include the Breeders’ Cup Classic which is a mile and ¼ for $5 million dollars. Also on the board is the Breeders’ Cup Turf which is a mile and a half for $3 million. The Breeders’ Cup Mile is also on the board and it is a $2 million dollar race. The Sprint and the Juvenile are $2 million dollar races with the Sprint going 6 furlongs and the Juvenile a mile and 1/16th. The Dirt Mile is another race on the card for Saturday with a $1 million dollar purse. The Juvenile Turf and the Turf Sprint also have $1 million dollar purses. The Marathon which is a mile and a half race has a half million dollar purse.
