Michigan State vs. Connecticut - Final Four Betting Tonight at SBG Global

Final Four betting for the 2009 NCAA Tournament should be as competitive as ever with two #1 seeds, a #2 seed and a #3 seed.

Final Four betting odds do favor North Carolina and Connecticut but Michigan State and Villanova are no slouches.

Final Four betting statistics tell us that for the 13th time in the last 14 years the #1 ranked team will not be the National Champion. Heading into the tournament, Louisville was ranked #1 but they will not be part of the Final Four betting field. Even though the Cardinals were ranked #1 by the press, the Final Four betting odds have always favored North Carolina. The Tar Heels were on the Final Four odds board last year but lost to Kansas. This year they are favored even more in Final Four betting than they were a year ago. Last year the Tar Heels were all about Tyler Hansbrough and this year they are all about balance. Hansbrough is still on the team but he is not the first scoring option. North Carolina has Ty Lawson, Wayne Ellington and others who can take over a game.

North Carolina is the favorite in Final Four betting but they are not the only team with talent. Connecticut is loaded and a solid choice in Final Four odds as they have Hasheem Thabeet in the middle, Jeff Adrien on the wing and A.J. Price in the backcourt. The Huskies are the one team that can match North Carolina in talent in this Final Four betting field.

The other two teams in Final Four betting, Michigan State and Villanova are also very good. The Wildcats have been very impressive heading into Final Four betting, and they have had the toughest road against UCLA, Duke and Pittsburgh. The Wildcats are facing North Carolina though and that means they are a solid underdog in Final Four betting.

Michigan State had to get past USC, defending champion Kansas and Louisville. The Spartans have a couple of advantages that the other teams don’t have. Michigan State is tired of hearing about how bad the Big 10 is and the Spartans are expected to have a home court advantage in Final Four odds since the Final Four is in Detroit. Early Final Four betting action has been on the Spartans in their matchup against Connecticut.

Final Four betting should be extremely competitive and exciting with four quality teams battling for the title.
