Miami Dolphins 2006 Review

2007 Football Betting Season Preview: The Dolphins are beginning what could be a very short Cam Cameron period in their history. Cameron has never had any success as a head coach and many football betting fans believe he is in over his head at Miami. The Dolphins finally got quarterback Trent Green from the Chiefs and they will count heavily upon Green in 2007 NFL betting season. Cameron was the offensive coordinator in San Diego so it will be interesting to see how he handles Green and running back Ronnie Brown.

The 2007 football betting schedule includes home/away games with their AFC East Division rivals of New England, Buffalo and the New York Jets. The Dolphins also face the tough NFC East in addition to having games against the AFC South and AFC North. The Dolphins will play the first ever regular football betting season game outside of North America as they face the New York Giants at London’s Wembley Stadium on Sunday, October 28th. The game will be televised by FOX.

Offense: The offense turns to veteran Trent Green and that might not be a bad thing for football betting players considering Culpepper and Harrington were poor in 2006 football betting season. Green is a proven NFL quarterback and should upgrade the position. Ronnie Brown is a solid running back and Chris Chambers is a good wide out. The offense has potential for NFL betting in 2007.

Defense: The defense was actually pretty solid in 2006 but football betting experts believe it will take a step back in 2007 simply for the fact that Saban is gone. Saban may not have won enough in Miami but he knew how to coach defense and he will be missed on this side of the ball in 2007 football betting season.

Forecast: The draft brought a huge surprise to football betting fans as the Dolphins bypassed on Brady Quinn and took WR Ted Ginn who is already injured. They did get QB John Beck out of BYU who they expect to be their quarterback of the future. One problem for Miami is Cameron. He is not an NFL caliber head coach. The other problem when looking at football betting lines could be injuries. If anything happens to Green then the quarterback position might fall to rookie Beck.
