AFC East Training Camp Questions

As NFL training camps get set to open all eyes will be focused on the AFC East as a lot of attention will be on the New England Patriots, New York Jets and Buffalo Bills.

Last year the Miami Dolphins won the division but even they have questions to answer. There is no question that a lot of the focus in the preseason will be on the Patriots and quarterback Tom Brady. NFL betting gamblers will be watching to see how Brady has recovered from his injury. Almost as much sports betting attention will be in Buffalo as people watch Terrell Owens. The Jets will get their share of attention as well with quarterback Mark Sanchez trying to win the starting job as a rookie.

The Buffalo Bills will have to deal with the attention that T.O. brings but they have other more important questions to answer in training camp that will affect their NFL odds. The Bills’ offensive line is a mess and none of the starters will be playing the same position as last year. The Bills are going to use the no-huddle this season so they should be fun to watch in terms of NFL betting in the preseason. The defensive questions for the Bills surround Aaron Schobel who is coming off an injury and first round pick Aaron Maybin.

The Patriots will be watching Tom Brady in training camp but they have other issues. Running back Laurence Maroney is coming off an injury so working Fred Taylor into the mix will be important. They Patriots also need to find a backup quarterback to Brady. Defensive questions exist as well as the Patriots need to find some linebacker help and work in new players into the secondary. New England is the favorite in NFL odds at the sportsbook to win Super Bowl XLIV.

The focus on the Jets in the preseason will be on Sanchez but the defensive questions are huge. Rex Ryan brings his new scheme to New York and how well it works with the leftover players and key newcomers like Bart Scott and Jim Leonhard will be important to the Jets chances in NFL betting.

The attention in Miami from NFL betting gamblers will be on second round pick Pat White and how he does in the Wildcat offense. Watching Jason Taylor in his return to Miami will also be interesting.
