AFC North NFL Draft Odds

NFL Draft odds have two teams from the AFC North picking in the Top 10 in the first round while the other two teams pick near the bottom.

Cleveland and Cincinnati will be picking early in NFL Draft betting while Baltimore and Pittsburgh will be picking late. Let’s look at the AFC North in the 2009 NFL Draft.

NFL Draft odds tell us that the Browns are picking #5 overall in the first round. Cleveland needs a linebacker and a good one should be on the board at #5. It is possible they take Florida State’s Everette Brown with this NFL Draft betting pick. Cleveland also badly needs a receiver, especially if they trade Braylon Edwards. The Browns actually have a lot of needs all over the field. Linebacker and wide receiver are just the two most pressing needs in NFL Draft odds. Cleveland has two second round picks in NFL Draft betting so they should be able to get some wide receiving help perhaps taking Ohio State’s Brian Robiskie.

Cincinnati picks right after the Browns in NFL Draft odds at #6 overall. The Bengals have defensive needs, especially at linebacker. They could go with Boston College’s B.J. Raji. Cincinnati could get a lot of help in NFL Draft odds. They have three picks in the top 70 overall in NFL Draft odds. If the Bengals don’t go with Raji at #6 they could take Texas’ Brian Orakpo.

Baltimore picks #25 overall in NFL Draft odds and most people believe they will take a receiver. Florida’s Percy Harvin could be the pick here in NFL Draft betting. If the Ravens don’t go with a receiver they should go with defense, particularly at cornerback where they need serious help. They might also go with a linebacker with this NFL Draft odds pick. Someone like Virginia’s Clint Sintim or Ohio State’s James Laurinaitis might still be on the NFL Draft odds board.

Pittsburgh has the final pick in the first round of NFL Draft odds. The Steelers could use some help on the offensive line and they could also use receiving depth. They might go with one of the best centers in NFL Draft odds, California’s Alex Mack with this pick if he is still on the board.

The AFC North has the defending Super Bowl Champion Pittsburgh Steelers and three other teams that are trying to catch them.
