Analyzing Baltimore’s Schedule When Betting NFL Games
The Ravens have the 12th toughest schedule in the league which isn’t too bad and they should be favored most of the time in NFL betting.
Betting NFL games involving the Ravens could have them overvalued a little bit. The Ravens are thought of as a team that can win the Super Bowl this season. They added wide receiver Anquan Boldin and they are hoping he really helps quarterback Joe Flacco.
Baltimore will be seen in prime time at least four times this season and perhaps more since NBC can change their late season schedule based on the most attractive games. The Ravens do play three of their first three games of the season on the road but they will be facing the Pittsburgh Steelers when they don’t have quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.
The opener for the Ravens should be a great one as they visit the New York Jets in Monday Night Football on September 13th. Things don’t get any easier for the Ravens in Week 2 as they travel to Cincinnati to face the defending AFC North champs. The Ravens host the Browns in Week 3 and then go to Pittsburgh in Week 4. Baltimore hosts Denver in Week 5 and then they have to go to New England in Week 6. They get a break in Week 7 as they host the Buffalo Bills and then they have their bye week. If the Ravens can survive the first seven weeks and go 5-2 or 4-3 they should be in good shape.
The second half of their season begins with a home game against Miami in Week 9. They travel to Atlanta for a tough game in Week 10 and follow that up in Carolina in Week 11. They get a break in Week 12 with a home game against Tampa Bay. Week 13 has them home against Pittsburgh while Week 14 they are playing on Monday night at Houston. The Ravens host the New Orleans Saints in Week 15 and they finish up at Cleveland and home against Cincinnati.
Overall, the schedule is tough for Baltimore but they do get a few breaks along the way. With the talent they have, the Ravens are capable of having a big year vs. the NFL betting odds.
