Arizona Cardinals Superbowl Odds

Superbowl odds have the Arizona Cardinals a touchdown underdog for Super Bowl XLIII on February 1st.

It is the first time in Superbowl betting history that the Cardinals have ever made it to the Super Bowl. The Cardinals will be matched up against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Superbowl odds.

Superbowl odds may have the Cardinals as underdogs but Arizona does have a quarterback with experience. Kurt Warner will be making his third appearance in a Super Bowl having won one and lost one with the St. Louis Rams. The Rams were favorites in Superbowl odds in both of those games as they defeated the Tennessee Titans but lost to the New England Patriots.

Superbowl odds have had the Cardinals as underdogs throughout the season. Arizona was not expected to defeat Atlanta in the Wild Card round when they were a small underdog, Carolina in the divisional playoffs where they were 10 point underdogs or Philadelphia in the NFC Championship game where they were 3.5 point underdogs. They will now be about a touchdown underdog in Superbowl odds for Super Bowl XLIII.

Before the season began the Cardinals were listed at 50-1 or 60-1 in Superbowl odds. Those Superbowl odds dropped during the season but even when the playoffs began the Cardinals were the longest shot on the Superbowl betting board.

For Arizona to have a chance in Superbowl odds against Pittsburgh they will need to find a way to score against Pittsburgh’s stout defense. The Cardinals have the weapons with Warner, Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin but whether they can move the ball against Pittsburgh is in question. The other side of the equation will be whether or not Arizona can stop Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers offense.

The public normally likes to take the favorite in Superbowl odds but that is not always the case. Last year the public really liked the Giants in Superbowl betting and they could take a liking to the Cardinals in Superbowl odds this year.

Superbowl betting odds have the Cardinals as 6.5 or 7 point underdogs with a total of 47. Open a New Account and bet on the Super Bowl 43 at SBG Global!
