Cleveland Browns at Buffalo NFL Betting

NFL betting includes an AFC matchup of two struggling teams trying to jump start their football betting seasons as the Buffalo Bills host the Cleveland Browns.

NFL betting handicappers saw the Browns turn in their best performance of the season last week while the Bills suffered their worst football betting loss of 2009.

The Cleveland Browns have a NFL betting record of 0-4 straight up and 1-3 against the spread.  The Browns are coming off their best football betting performance of the season, however, as they lost to the Cincinnati Bengals 20-23 as 6-point home dogs as the game went over the total of 37.5.  The Browns seemed to have their first NFL betting win of the season in hand but allowed a game tying 2-yard touchdown pass from Carson Palmer to Chad OchoCinco before blocking the extra point to send the game into overtime.  The Bengals won the game in OT with just 1 second remaining on a 31 yard field goal.  The Browns did have some reasons for football betting optimism as newly named starting quarterback Derek Anderson threw for 269 yards and 1 touchdown and Jerome Harrison rushed for 121 yards.  The Browns are an even 2-2 on over/under totals this year.

The Buffalo Bills have a NFL betting record of 1-3 straight up and 2-2 against the spread.  Last week the Bills were clobbered at Miami by the Dolphins 10-38 as 1-point road dogs with the game going over the total of 37.5.  Buffalo has gone over the NFL betting total in 3 out of 4 games this year.  Quarterbacking continues to be the NFL betting problem for Buffalo.  Trent Edwards has been bad this year with a 76.5 quarterback rating and a 5/5 touchdown to interception ratio. Buffalo ranks 23rd overall in passing and scoring and the Bills defense ranks an alarming 28th in points allowed.  Both Edwards and head coach Dick Jauron are feeling ever increasing heat with impatient Buffalo fans.

The question for this one is if Cleveland can get back off the mat after their heartbreaking loss.  Buffalo is a team Cleveland can beat but they must bring the same effort that they had last week against the Bengals.
