Dallas Cowboys NFL Odds at SBG Global
NFL Odds had Dallas going 10-6 in terms of over/unders in 2007. The team had a high powered offense led by quarterback Tony Romo. The Cowboys were third in total offense in the NFL according to NFL Odds numbers. Romo threw for 36 TDs, 4200 yards and had a 64% completion rate according to NFL game odds stats.
Terrell Owens had over 1300 yards and 15 scores while Jason Witten was the best tight end in the NFL as he had 96 catches and more than 1100 yards with 7 scores according to NFL football odds stats. The defense was led by Demarcus Ware and Greg Ellis who combined for 26.5 sacks and 7 forced fumbles according to NFL Odds numbers. Anthony Henry, Terence Newman and Ken Hamlin had 15 interceptions between them according to NFL Odds stats. With all of those numbers you would think Dallas would be a favorite in 2008 in NFL Odds.
It would seem that would be a great season but when you lose in the playoffs it is not. The Cowboys were upset by the New York Giants in NFL Odds and that hurts even more considering New York won the Super Bowl. NFL Odds stats show that the Cowboys ranked second in the NFL in points scored and third in total yards. The defense was ranked 13th in points allowed and 9th in total yards allowed according to NFL odds numbers.
The Cowboys do have some flaws they need to address. The first priority would be to get Tony Romo to focus on football all the time instead of his love life. The Cowboys need another cornerback to play across from Terence Newman according to NFL Game Odds experts. The Cowboys also need help at safety as Roy Williams is overrated according to NFL Odds experts. The Cowboys could also be in need of a receiver soon as both Terrell Owens and Terry Glenn turn 34 years old this season. The Cowboys may be looking for a running back although Marion Barber is a fine back. Overall, the Cowboys don’t have many holes and will be favored most of the time in NFL Game Odds in 2008.
