2007 Football Betting Season Preview: The Houston Texans are now Matt Schaub’s team. They got Schaub from Atlanta and are turning the offense over to him. It is very likely the offense will improve because it was always terrible under Carr. Coach Gary Kubiak should have some weapons on offense with Schaub under center and new running back Ahman Green, according to football betting experts.
The 2007 football betting season schedule includes home/away games with their AFC South Division rivals of Indianapolis, Jacksonville and Tennessee. The Texans also get games against the AFC West along with the NFC South. The Texans play in prime time once during 2007 NFL betting season as they are on NFL Network late in the year against Denver.

Offense: Former Atlanta backup quarterback Matt Schaub takes over the offense in Houston. He has an excellent receiver in Andre Johnson and should get some relief with Ahman Green running the ball. The Texans will need to find some receivers to complement Johnson if they want to become a good football betting pick.
Defense: The defense has a nice core of players. MLB DeMeco Ryans is a beast and won defensive rookie of the year, which is a good sign for football betting fans. It would be nice if #1 pick Mario Williams actually played like a #1 pick. The Texans are very high on Amobi Okoye and he is already turning heads in Houston.
