Jacksonville Jaguars 2006 Review
2007 Football Betting Season Preview: This may be one of the rare times that the football betting experts are not picking the Jacksonville Jaguars to do big things. That might be good news for Jacksonville as perhaps they can surprise football betting fans. The running game is decent with Maurice Jones-Drew and veteran Fred Taylor but the passing game is poor with no real starting quarterback and poor receivers. This could change the way football betting fans look at NFL betting lines.
The 2007 NFL football betting season schedule includes home/away games with their AFC South Division rivals of Houston, Indianapolis and Tennessee. The Jaguars also get games against the AFC West along with the NFC South. Jacksonville also has a tough late season matchup with AFC central power Pittsburgh that could be a key football betting game on December 16th. Surprisingly the Jaguars are only on prime time once in 2007 as they have a Monday Night Football game on October 22nd against the Colts.

Offense: The big problem for Jacksonville to be a good football betting pick is on offense where neither Byron Leftwich nor David Garrard looks very good at quarterback. Recievers Matt Jones and Reggie Williams are just average and not much was done to improve the receiving corps. Jermaine Wiggins was signed and will upgrade the tight end position. How will new offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter improve this side of the ball this NFL betting season?
Defense: John Henderson and Marcus Stroud are great on the defensive line which is something to consider in football betting, and Bobby McCray had 10 sacks last season. The linebackers are solid led by Mike Peterson. The secondary is superb led by Rashean Mathis. Donovan Darius can hit with anyone and discourages receivers going across the middle.
Forecast: The Jacksonville Jaguars defense is superb. The problem for Jacksonville is finding consistent play at quarterback and someone to catch the ball. The Jags can run and play defense and that is usually a good combination in football betting lines for winning in NFL betting..
