2007 Outlook
Key Signings:K Olindo Mare
Key Losses: WR Joe Horn, K John Carney
Key Player: QB Drew Brees, RB Reggie Bush
2007 Preview: The New Orleans Saints made the NFC Championship game against Chicago but could not win it on the road. If things go well they could be hosting the Championship game this 2007 NFL betting season. The offense looks unstoppable with Brees, McAllister and Bush. The Saints finished first in passing yards but just 19th in rushing yards. This NFL betting season the Saints need to find a way to get Reggie Bush the ball more often.
The 2007 football betting schedule includes home/away games with their NFC South Division rivals of Atlanta, Carolina and Tampa Bay. The New Orleans Saints also have games against the AFC South along with the NFC West.
The schedule is reasonable for the Saints and they should be able to make the playoffs again this NFL betting season. The New Orleans Saints are a popular team and they will be on prime time TV four times this season. They are on Monday Night Football twice and NBC’s Sunday night football twice. Three of those four games are within the first six weeks of the season.

Offense: Reggie Bush did it all for New Orleans in the 2006 football betting season and could easily do a lot more. If it wasn’t for the Saints having Deuce McAllister, then Bush could really have put up great numbers. He still had 565 yards on the ground but was great out of the backfield as a receiver catching 88 passes for 742 yards. Drew Brees was superb in the 2006 NFL betting season and led the league in passing with 4,418 yards and 26 touchdowns. Marques Colston led the wide outs with 70 receptions, 1,038 yards and eight scores. The Saints let Joe Horn go in the off-season and they may not miss him much. Rookie Robert Meacham is expected to compete for a starting wide receiver spot this NFL betting season.
Defense: Somehow the New Orleans Saints played great defense nearly all NFL betting season until the NFC Championship game where the Bears ran for 183 yards against them. The Saints did sign Jason David away from the Colts and he should help the defense this season. The defense seemed to do it with mirrors in the 2006 football betting season and the defense could be the Saints weakness in the 2007 NFL betting season.
Forecast: The New Orleans Saints have the best offense in the NFC with Brees, McAllister and Bush. The defense is suspect but it did well enough last year to win games. Head coach Sean Payton knows how to win and you can expect the Saints to make the playoffs again in the 2007 football betting season as their schedule is one of the easier ones in the league.
