Quarterback NFL Draft Odds at SBG Global

NFL Draft odds that get the most attention always seem to revolve around the quarterbacks.

That will be the case again in 2009 NFL Draft betting as Georgia quarterback Matthew Stafford is expected to go #1 to the Detroit Lions. Stafford is the #1 rated quarterback in NFL Draft betting although he is not the top rated player overall.

NFL Draft odds list Wake Forest linebacker Aaron Curry as the top prospect in NFL Draft betting but regardless, the attention goes to quarterbacks. Stafford is the highest rated quarterback mainly due to his strong arm. Second on the NFL Draft odds board at the quarterback position is USC’s Mark Sanchez. He came out early after starting only one year at USC. His coach, Pete Carroll told him it was a mistake but Sanchez is still the second highest quarterback in 2009 NFL Draft betting odds. That should be enough to get him drafted in the first round in NFL Draft odds.

The third rated quarterback in NFL Draft odds is Kansas State’s Josh Freeman. He has a strong arm and is a big kid who can move. He reminds many scouts of Jacksonville’s David Garrard. He was a three-year starter at Kansas State and is also coming out early. The fourth rated prospect in NFL Draft odds in terms of quarterbacks is West Virginia’s Pat White. He was oftentimes a better runner than passer at West Virginia but impressed the scouts at the combine. White is a definite wild card at quarterback in 2009 NFL Draft odds.

The fifth best quarterback prospect is Nate Davis out of Ball State. He has the numbers of a great one but they were put up at a smaller school. He could be a steal in the second round of NFL Draft betting. Following Davis in NFL Draft odds is Texas Tech quarterback Graham Harrell. He put up great numbers at Texas Tech but scouts have seen everyone put up great numbers in Mike Leach’s offense through the years. The other quarterback that might get attention in NFL Draft odds is Purdue’s Curtis Painter. He was the leading quarterback in terms of statistics in Purdue’s history. He has good size and could be a real find in the second or third round of NFL Draft odds.

That is a look at the seven best quarterback prospects for the 2009 NFL Draft. Open a New Account and bet on 2009 NFL Draft at SBG Global!
