Redskins and Pro Bowl Lines

Pro Bowl lines in 2008 will have the AFC favored but an interesting part of the game will be the NFC side.

Sean Taylor, the first player voted posthumously to the Pro Bowl, will have his jersey number worn at the game by two Washington players.  Tight end Chris Cooley and tackle Chris Samuels will both wear the No. 21 at the Pro Bowl.

Pro Bowl lines present gamblers with their last chance to bet NFL action until next season.  Pro Bowl betting gamblers will be interested in watching the NFC and the factor that the Washington players may have on the game.

Taylor was leading the NFL in interceptions at the time of his death. He was chosen the following month for the NFC team in balloting among coaches, players and fans. Cooley and Samuels will each wear their own name on the back of the jersey, above the No. 21. Taylor made his only Pro Bowl appearance last year and the NFC covered the Pro Bowl lines. Fans looking at Pro Bowl lines know that Taylor is the first player chosen posthumously for an all-star team in a major American team sport since Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Pelle Lindbergh was the top choice in fan voting for goalies in the 1986 NHL All-Star game.

Pro Bowl lines have seen the AFC favored in recent seasons because of the AFC’s dominance over the NFC.  That does not mean that the AFC always covers the Pro Bowl betting pointspread though.  In fact, two of the last three seasons has seen the NFC cover the Pro Bowl lines.  Last year’s Pro Bowl lines had the AFC a four point favorite and they only won by three points.  The same thing happened with the total in Pro Bowl lines.  The game had 59 points but that was not enough to take it over the Pro Bowl lines total of 65.

Pro Bowl betting for the 2008 game should again be exciting with Pro Bowl lines having the AFC a slight favorite and the total in the low 60’s.  Take a look at the Pro Bowl lines this year and enjoy your Pro Bowl betting.
