2006 San Diego Chargers and football betting at SBG Global
2006 football betting Review: The San Diego Chargers had an NFL-best 14-2 record in the 2006 football betting season, but it was all for nothing as they lost in the divisional round of the playoffs to New England. The Chargers were a football betting success at 9-7 against the NFL betting spread but it was not enough to turn San Diego into a playoff success.

They were also a football betting over machine cashing in 10 of 16 times for football betting over players. The key moment of the 2006 football betting season for the Chargers was with 6:25 remaining in the playoff game against New England and Chargers FS Marlon McCree intercepting a Tom Brady pass and then fumbling the ball back to New England. On that football betting game Brady would lead the Patriots to a TD just five plays later and that pretty much ended the football betting season for the San Diego Chargers.

SAN DIEGO CHARGERS 2006 NFL BETTING REVIEW
There are many things that you could say about the football betting year of 2006 for San Diego, and most of them would be superlatives. This was a very solid team last football betting year. The Chargers had the best football betting record and the best NFL betting stats of any team in the NFL football betting regular season last year. They entered the post season as the heavy favorites to win the Super Bowl but football betting fans know by now that they fell short in their attempt. A team that looked as though it might have any easy run at the title didn’t even win one playoff game or even advance to the AFC Championship game as the New England Patriots sent this team crashing back to earth.
But in that game the Chargers weren’t so much outplayed as out coached. The play calling, especially in the second half of that game was awful. It was very conservative and it didn’t get the ball to their start player and NFL MVP, LaDanian Tomlinson. LT was basically side-lined for the second half as he only touched the ball eight times and the awful passing calls generally ended in futility. With an offense as potent as the Chargers, the last thing you want to do is go conservative and shut down the start players in a big game, but inexplicably, that’s what the Chargers did in that football betting game.
Coach Marty was blamed and he is now gone. But the offensive coordinator was the one calling the plays and he should be held accountable. Cam Cameron was that guy, and he’s also gone, but not from a firing, as he was awarded the Miami Dolphins head coaching job. He’s been labeled an offensive guru, but when you have an offense that contains players like LT, Antonio Gates, Drew Brees and Michael Turner, they would make anyone look good in football betting teams.
But one player that Cameron nurtured into prominence upon Brees’ off season departure was the young QB Philip Rivers who had an outstanding football betting year and made the Pro Bowl in 2006. He completed 61 percent of his passes for 3388 yards, 22 TDs, only 9 picks, and polished QB NFL betting rating of 92. It was an excellent football betting season and the Chargers staff deserves some credit for cutting loses all-pro Drew Brees after a shoulder surgery and having the confidence to play this talented passer.
But no player on this team or the NFL had a bigger football betting season that LT. He was dominant and almost impossible to stop in many NFL betting football games. He piled up 1815 yards running on a very impressive 5.2 yards per carry average. On top of that he also scored a record 28 TDs on the ground. And if that wasn’t enough he threw for a couple as well and caught a few as well on his way to setting the single football betting season touchdown mark in the NFL betting record books. His back up Michael Turner didn’t do too bad for himself either averaging over six yards a carry on eighty carries in football betting games.
In the receiving unit the beneficiaries of Rivers’ great arm were Antonio Gates, the all pro tight-end who caught 71 balls for 924 yards and nine TDs and Eric Parker who caught 48 passes for 659 yards. Amazingly LT also ranked third in NFL betting stats in receiving with 56 passes for 508 yards.
But as good as the offense was the defense was right there as well. In total points per game the team ranked seventh giving up only 18 point a contest. Against the run the team also ranked seventh giving up 100 yards a game to opponents. And just as the offense had stars, so did the defense. Shawne Merriman the animal racked up an amazing 17 sacks. And he did all this while missing a number of football betting games for steroid use. Those must have been some steroids because he destroyed his opponent and there was not a football betting team in the league that could block him. Donnie Edwards again anchored the defense doing all the heavy lifting inside and getting 142 tackles, 2 sacs and 2 forced fumbles. CB Quentin Jammer had another solid football betting season with 4 picks and was second on the team in tackles.
The Chargers had a very potent attack in the football betting season of 2006, both on offense and defense. Although they didn’t achieve all that they wanted to, this is still a young team with all the main pieces coming back and for a debut football betting season.
