2007 football betting Preview: The Seahawks did not do much in the off-season to improve for this upcoming NFL betting season. They are just hoping Shaun Alexander returns to form and stays healthy. The offensive line is weak and the receiving corps took a hit when Darrell Jackson went to San Francisco. The defense did add Patrick Kerney to replace Grant Wistrom and they also added Jim Mora Jr. as a coach in the secondary and that may help their overall defense this football betting season. The division is getting stronger and it may not be a cakewalk this NFL betting season for Seattle in the NFC West.
The 2007 football betting schedule includes home/away games with their NFC West Division rivals of Arizona, St. Louis and San Francisco. The Seattle Seahawks also have games against the AFC North along with the NFC South. The Seattle football betting schedule is no bargain. They have the Bears and Eagles in addition to tough AFC North and NFC South foes. The Seattle Seahawks are on Monday Night Football in November against San Francisco and on NBC twice against New Orleans and Chicago. Offense: For this football betting season the offense revolves around Hasselbeck and Alexander. Both were hurt last football betting season and it affected the team. The question will be whether or not Alexander returns to form. Many football betting experts believe that Alexander will never be the same and if that is the case then Seattle’s reign at the top of the NFC West may come to an end. The team also lost Darrell Jackson and Jeremy Stevens and that will hurt and alter the thoughts of many football betting fans.
Defense: The defense may be better than last football betting season as the team got defensive end Patrick Kerney from Atlanta. The problem is that there will be an improvement this football betting season as Kerney replaces Grant Wistrom so how much of an improvement there will be is in question. The problem for Seattle is stopping the run and not much was done to improve the team in that area. Julian Peterson is an excellent linebacker and it is hard to understand why the team couldn’t stop the run on the past football betting year. Lofa Tatupu and Leroy Hill are also solid. The defense may have to be greatly improved this football betting season because the offense looks weaker.
Forecast: Seattle is no longer the dominant force in this division. Alexander looks old, the receiving corps is weaker and the defense can’t stop the run. Unless Alexander returns to form then Seattle may have real problems making the playoffs in the 2007 football betting season.
