2007 football betting preview: The Rams need to improve the defense and counting on Haslett to do it might be a mistake. This football betting season, on offense, Marc Bulger is a top notch quarterback and Steven Jackson looks great. The receivers with Torry Holt leading the way look solid. The Rams picked up Drew Bennett from Tennessee and he should complement Holt and Isaac Bruce. For this football betting season the defense gave up 23.8 points per game and unless they improve on that side of the ball they will still struggle to make the playoffs.

The 2007 football betting schedule includes home/away games with their NFC West Division rivals of Arizona, San Francisco and Seattle. The St. Louis Rams also have games against the AFC North along with the NFC South. The Rams NFL betting schedule is ranked about average for 2007. The St. Louis Rams only get one prime time TV game and it is late in the season on NFL Network as they host the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Offense: The offense is usually not the problem in St. Louis and hasn’t been for the past football betting seasons. Defense: As in other football betting seasons, the defense is still a major problem in St. Louis. The defensive line is awful, the linebackers are weak and the secondary is young. 2007 Football Betting Forecast: The Rams have had only one winning season in the last five football betting seasons. That streak may continue because the defense just can’t stop anyone. The offense is very good though and Jeff Wilkins is one of the best kickers in NFL football. The Rams do have a tough non-division road football betting schedule as they face the Cowboys, Ravens, Saints, and Bengals.  That may prevent them from having a winning season in the 2007 NFL betting season.
