Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2006 Review

2007 Football betting Preview: There is legitimate optimism in Tampa Bay now that Jeff Garcia is the starting quarterback. Most football betting fans expect Tampa to make major improvements on the offensive side of the ball in the 2007 NFL betting season. It is also expected that better QB play will help RB Carnell Williams get back to his offensive rookie of the year form of the 2005 football betting season.

The 2007 football betting schedule includes home/away games with their NFC South Division rivals of Atlanta, Carolina and New Orleans. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers also have games against the AFC South along with the NFC West. The schedule is definitely in the Bucs favor this football betting season as it is rated as one of the easier in the league. Tampa Bay is only on prime time TV once this season as they are at San Francisco late in the year on NBC.

Offense: Jeff Garcia is the man in Tampa Bay. Not many people have any confidence in Chris Simms or Bruce Gradkowski. Garcia was excellent for the Eagles last football betting season and will definitely upgrade the quarterback position. Garcia will be throwing to Joey Galloway and Michael Clayton. It will definitely help Garcia if Cadillac Williams gets back to form as well. And to increment football betting action, the Buccaneers signed tackle Luke Petitgout away from the Giants and that may help the offensive line.

Defense: The defense suffered in the 2006 football betting year as Simeon Rice missed half of the year. They need him healthy in NFL betting of 2007. The Bucs took Gaines Adams with the fourth pick in the draft and he will definitely upgrade the pass rush. Brian Kelly and Ronde Barber are getting older so the secondary could be a concern. Linebackers this upcoming football season are set with Cato June who they signed away from the Colts and Derrick Brooks, the future hall of famer.

2007 football betting Forecast: The signing of Jeff Garcia for this football betting season is great news for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He has the ability to lead them back to the playoffs. Getting more production out of Cadillac Williams will help and the defense looks improved with Adams and Cato. Football betting fans will have new reasons to bet on the Bucs. The NFL betting schedule is favorable and the Bucs should contend in the NFC this season.
