If you bet on a tie and win you are paid back at odds of 8-1 in online baccarat. The built in casino advantage when you bet on the player’s hand is 1.24 percent and when you bet on the banker’s hand is 1.06 percent in online baccarat. When you win by betting the banker’s hand, you are also charged a five percent commission on your winnings. The house advantage on a tie bet is 15.75 percent and is a very bad online baccarat bet.
Online baccarat begins by each hand getting two cards. The goal is to get as close to nine as possible in online baccarat. Tens and face cards count as zero, with the exception of the ace, which is worth 1. Cards 2 thru 9 are worth their face value. When you have a total that is 10 or more, the first digit is dropped. Let’s say you are dealt a pair of eights for a total of 16. The first digit is dropped giving you a total of 6 in casino baccarat. All of the decisions in online baccarat are predetermined and there is no thinking involved or any deviations. The rules are preset and are always followed.
