Danica Patrick Close to NASCAR Deal Sport Betting Online

Sport betting online has Danica Patrick close to a deal with Dale Earnhardt Jr. and his Nationwide Series team.

Sports betting had the two sides very close to an agreement that would bring Danica into NASCAR’s second tier series for next year.

Sport betting online information indicates that JR Motorsports, which is Junior’s team didn’t have room for Patrick until recently. Brad Keselowski singed with Penske Racing South and now JR Motorsports needs a driver in the Nationwide Series.  Sports betting reports have a deal expected to be reached within the next week or so.

There are not many races left in the NASCAR sport betting online season.  The Chase for the Cup ends with the Ford 400 at Homestead-Miami later this month.  Jimmie Johnson has pretty much run away with the title so this sport betting online news about Patrick joining the Nationwide Series may actually overshadow the racing on the track.

The tentative plan as sport betting online has it for Patrick is for her to run a full schedule with IndyCar and then run 12 or 13 races in the Nationwide series. The first race in that series is in February and her presence would immediately increase sport betting online interest in NASCAR.  The presence of Patrick is not going unnoticed.  She recently met with Rick Hendrick who owns Hendrick Motorsports. It is Hendrick that supports JR Motorsports so Rick Hendrick’s approval was mandatory. The deal with Patrick joining forces with Earnhardt Jr. is not a huge surprise since they already share a major sponsor in GoDaddy.com. The company is a sponsor on Brad Keselowski’s #88 and is a huge sponsor of Patrick.

Patrick was the 2005 Indy 500 Rookie of the Year. She was the first woman to win an IndyCar Series race.  Although she has gotten a lot of attention her results have not been very good. Her only win was a race in Japan and she is not a threat to win IndyCar races.  She is a popular draw though and that makes her sport betting online impact important even if she is not competitive.

Sports betting noted that a woman has never won a NASCAR race in any of the three top national series.  Sports betting shows that the last woman to regularly compete in NASCAR was Patty Moise who started in 22 of 26 races in NASCAR’s second tier series.
