Angels Resign Bobby Abreu Sportsbooks Betting
Abreu would have been a free agent but chose to resign with the Angels instead of going on the open market. The Angels had a successful season versus sportsbooks odds but fell in the American League Championship Series to the New York Yankees.
Sportbooks betting had Abreu’s new deal worth $9 million per season for the next two years with bonuses. Last year as sportbooks stats show, Abreu hit .293 with 15 home runs, 103 RBIs and he also had 30 stolen bases. He has driven in at least 100 runs in seven straight sportbooks betting seasons.
In other sportbooks betting baseball news, the Chicago White Sox signed Mark Kotsay to a one-year deal worth a reported $1.5 million dollars. Kotsay hit .278 with four home runs and 23 RBIs in 67 games last sportbooks betting year with the White Sox and Boston Red Sox. He was traded from the Red Sox to Chicago on July 28th. Sportbooks betting info shows that he could have become a free agent but chose to resign with Chicago.
Sportsbooks also noted that Chicago also traded Josh Fields and Chris Getz to Kansas City for Mark Teahen. The White Sox will be looking for Teahen to replace Jermaine Dye who is expected to leave in free agency. Teahen hit .271 and hit 12 home runs while driving in 50 runs last sportbooks betting season. Sportsbooks indicated that the trade is a weird one for both teams. The Royals get Fields who couldn’t win the third base job in Chicago and Getz who hit .261 last sportbooks betting year with 25 stolen bases.
Also, the Los Angeles Dodgers did not bring back pitcher Jon Garland. The Dodgers had a $10 million dollar option on Garland but didn’t exercise it which means Garland is a free agent. He does get a $2.5 million buyout.
The Dodgers got Garland from Arizona for infielder Tony Abreu. Garland pitched well with the Dodgers as sportbooks betting stats show. He was 3-2 with a 2.72 ERA in six sportbooks betting games for the Los Angeles Dodgers. He was not on their playoff roster though. With Arizona last year he was 8-11 with a 4.29 ERA in 27 games with the Diamondbacks as sportsbooks stats show.
