Big 10 Announces Bowl Ties Online Sportsbooks
You shouldn’t expect many changes on the Internet sportsbook board as the Big Ten still has the Rose Bowl or another BCS game in addition to the Capital One Bowl and the Outback Bowl.
Online sportsbooks always get a lot of college football betting action on the Rose Bowl but the other bowls also can be attractive. The Big Ten will matchup against The SEC in the Capital One and Outback bowls while the Rose Bowl is still with the Pac-10. The new bowl game for the Big 10 is the Gator Bowl and that will have the fourth and fifth selections alternating with the Insight Bowl. The Gator Bowl will have the Big 10 facing the SEC while they will face the Big 12 in the Insight Bowl on the online sportsbooks board.
The Big 10 doesn’t always have a lot of success against the online sportsbooks pointspread. That doesn’t mean they don’t have a lot of games on the Internet sportsbook board. The conference did end their agreement with the Alamo Bowl though. Instead the conference will have an agreement with the Texas Bowl at Reliant Stadium in Houston. That game on the online sportsbooks board will match the #6 Big 10 team against the #6 team from the Big 12.
A new bowl game has been created which will matchup the #7 team in the Big 10 on the online sportsbooks board against a Conference USA team. The game will be played in Dallas at Cotton Bowl stadium. Internet sportsbooks info shows that the reason that the Cotton Bowl stadium is available is that the Cotton Bowl has moved to Dallas Cowboys Stadium. The new bowl game on the online sportsbooks board is expected to be on New Year’s Day. It is also very possible that the Big 10 gets into the Little Caesar's Pizza Bowl in Detroit. That bowl could get the Big 10’s 8th place team.
Earlier we noted that the Big 10 has not done very well in bowl games of late in sports betting at the Internet sportsbook. The official numbers have the Big 10 going 1-6 in bowl games last college football betting season. They are a pathetic 15-28 in bowl games since the 2003 sports betting season.
