Halftime bets are types of betting wagers that happen after the first half of a game is concluded. The sports betting odds offered for halftime bets are based only on the action that will occur on the second half of any game including overtime. In addition to NFL halftime bets and NBA halftime betting, our sportsbook offers halftime bets for college football, college basketball and WNBA basketball.

If a player bets on the second half Jazz -2 ½ he wins the wager because the Jazz won the second half of the game by more than 2 ½ points
If a player bets on the second half Lakers +2 ½ he loses the wager because the Lakers lost the second half by more than 2 ½ points.
The final score of the game does not play any role in NBA halftime betting. It is only the action of the second half of the game that matters.

If a player bets the second half of the game and picks the Bears -7, then the wager is a looser bet since they had to win the second half by more than 7 points and it ended in a tie. On the other hand, if the customer bets on the second half Raiders +7 then that wager would be a winner.
