French Open Betting looks to be predictable again in 2008

French Open betting can be a real dichotomy. There are times when the French Open odds can seem so predictable and others when upsets seem the norm.

But this year the French Open looks to be quite predictable again with the favorites in the French Open odds to win the 2008 event the same as they’ve been for the past four years.

French Open betting fans certainly know who this year’s French Open odds favorites are without having to read any further. But for those not quite as familiar with the event, Justine Henin and Rafael Nadal will once again be the odds-on, if not overwhelming, favorites to win the French Open betting.

These two players have combined to win the past six titles at Roland Garros between them and more likely than not the will be guaranteed the top spot in the French Open odds simply out of habit more than anything else. Nadal is assured of this honor and even though Henin hasn’t been quite up to speed this year, if she’s even halfway healthy she’ll likely be the French Open betting favorite.

It’s not so much that these two are the two best players in the world (although when they’re fit there is also a strong argument for this) it’s simply that there games are perfect for the French Open betting. There are all kinds of excellent players in the world but for some reason these two always seem to be triumphant when it comes to the French Open betting. It’s as if they’re sharks in water and the rest of the French Open betting and the rest of the entrants are manatees -they’re simply defenseless and out of their element.

This year will be an especially memorable event for Henine and Nadal as both will be looking to win their fourth French Open betting title. Four titles would not set the record for most French Open betting titles but it would tie the record for most consecutive titles as both players enter this year’s French Open betting as three-time reigning champs. As if these players didn’t have enough to get them up for the French Open betting, we’ll likely see even more drive than normal when they take the clay in May.
