Tennis betting fans have been huge supporters of the Williams’ talent since the beginning. The gregarious sisters were not only terrific players but were incredible rarities in the world of tennis betting when they first came up.

Not only were they rare on the tennis scene for being black and being sisters, but their talent was so far above the rest of the field in tennis betting that it blew people’s minds. When the duo was one there simply was no competition in the WTA tennis betting for them.

They put together an incredible run of Internet betting tennis all-Williams tennis finals and the tennis betting world looked ready to resign itself to the fact that the sisters would dominate the competitive scene for years to come. But for the past several years that has not been case. Despite a few Grand Slam event wins here and there the Williams have been non-factors in many tennis betting events.

For one thing, they play in very few tournaments relative to the rest of the competition. Much of it has had to due with injuries of just about every stripe imaginable -the death to the tennis betting careers of many players. But for the Williams’ it’s also been plethora of off-court events as well such as the tragedy of their sister’s death and their parents divorce. These would obviously derail the tennis betting careers of any player but there have also been other things like business lawsuits and the women’s non-tennis pursuits.

With Venus recently withdrawing from the world of competitive tennis betting for personal reasons, it will be interesting to see if the remarkable sisters can ever reclaim their place atop the world of Internet betting tennis.
