UFC Odds Propositions at SBG Global

UFC odds have grown so much in recent years that they have surpassed boxing odds in terms of fighting popularity.

UFC betting odds involve betting one fighter against another. UFC odds can also include round propositions and fight ending propositions. Let’s look at each of these choices in UFC odds.

UFC odds are most common on one fighter versus another. These are based on money lines and the goal for the sportsbook is to attract interest on both fighters. For example, in UFC 86 you have Quinton Jackson facing Forrest Griffin in the main event. If you didn’t have a money line then most people would bet Jackson but if you make Jackson -250 and Griffin +200 you will attract some UFC betting odds interest on Griffin. In this example you would have to risk $2.5 for every $1 you wanted to win on Jackson in UFC odds.  That makes it a little more risky than just even money and why Griffin will attract attention now that he is +200 in UFC odds.

Another option in UFC odds is the rounds. How long do you think the fight is going to last? Do you think it is going to be quick? If so then you would bet the fight to go under the rounds listed on the UFC betting odds. If you thought the fight would last a little while then you would bet the over in UFC odds. Round propositions are interesting to consider when you are betting on the UFC.

As you handicap UFC odds there are some things to remember. Since the UFC betting odds are money line based you have to win a high percentage of your wagers if you bet favorites. It is similar to baseball where you can’t be laying 2-1 every game and expect to make money. Many professional gamblers won’t lay over -150 on baseball and that is not a bad way to go in UFC odds either. If you want to make money in the long term against UFC odds then you may want to stay away from high priced favorites.
