Buying Points in UFL Odds
Gamblers will have the same questions to ask with UFL betting as they do with college football betting or NFL betting. One of those questions is whether or not to buy points.
UFL odds won’t be as popular as NFL betting or college football betting odds but they still will get attention. Will buying the half point or full point be worthwhile? It depends upon the UFL odds. Some gamblers will never buy the half point because it costs more money. Instead of laying the traditional $110 for $100 you are laying $120 for every $100. Is it worth it to buy that extra half point? Sometimes it is but not very often in UFL odds.
Only when you can buy the extra half point surrounding the number of three will it be worthwhile in UFL betting. That means you want to buy from -3 down to -2.5, from +3 to +3.5, from -3.5 down to -3 and from +2.5 to +3. The bottom line is that you want the extra half point whenever you are right around that key number of three in UFL odds. Should you do it with other numbers in UFL odds? The answer is no. The numbers in the NFL showed that the only number which made it worthwhile to buy on and off of was three.
Why is it so important to get the extra half point around that number of three in UFL odds? Many games in UFL betting will have a close pointspread so getting that half point can be big. For example, let’s say you have a team getting three points in UFL odds. You buy the extra half point to make it +3.5 in UFL betting. Now you get a win instead of a push if you lose by exactly three points. The same thing happens in the other four situations in UFL odds as you turn a -3 into a -2.5 and get a win instead of a tie. Or when the game lands three and you gave -3 instead of the normal 3.5 you get a push instead of a loss. It also applies when you get +3 instead of the normal +2.5 and get a push instead of a loss in UFL odds.
When betting UFL odds you want to get that extra half point around the number of three but on no other numbers.
